Terms of Use

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your purchase and use of Human Hope Daily, a web app operated by Human Hope Foundation ("we", "us" or "our") at https://humanhopefoundation.com. The Refund Policy, Delivery Policy and Privacy Policy form part of these Terms.

1. Acceptance

By purchasing a plan, opening your access link or using the app you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use Human Hope Daily.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 to purchase a plan. People aged 13 and over may use the app under a Family Circle, Family Annual or Group Leader Kit plan bought and supervised by a parent, guardian or adult leader, who is responsible for their use. The app is not for children under 13.

3. Your account and access link

Your access link and sign-in are personal and may not be shared, sold, lent or transferred. Keep your email account secure, because anyone who controls it can reach your journal, and tell us at [email protected] if you believe someone else is using your access.

4. License to use the content

During your access period we grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the app's devotionals, reading plans, worship audio and other content for personal, non-commercial use. You may not copy, redistribute, publicly perform, sell, scrape or create derivative works from the content, beyond short quotations for personal study with attribution. Your own journal entries remain yours.

5. Family Circle and group seats

Family Circle plans let the purchaser invite household members; the Group Leader Kit lets a leader invite a study group. Each member gets a private sign-in and journal that the purchaser cannot read. The purchaser may add or remove members; all member access ends with the purchaser's plan. Seats are for real individuals and may not be resold.

6. Payment, prices and no renewal

Plans are one-time payments in US dollars, currently from $25 (Hope Starter, 30 days) to $200 (Lifetime + Foundation Circle). Payment is processed by Stripe; we never see or store your full card number. There is no subscription and no automatic renewal: we never charge you again without a new purchase. Prices may change for future purchases; any applicable taxes are shown at checkout.

7. When your access period ends

Your access period starts when the access email is sent (see the Delivery Policy) and ends on the date shown in the app. After it ends you can no longer open devotionals, audio or the Scripture Guide, but your prayer journal remains exportable for 30 days, after which it is deleted as described in the Privacy Policy. Buying a new plan within those 30 days keeps your journal intact.

8. Acceptable use

You agree not to: use the app for any unlawful purpose; attempt to access another person's account or journal; interfere with the service, probe its security or extract content with automated tools; post abusive, threatening or infringing content in a family or group space; or misuse the Scripture Guide to produce content for resale or harmful material.

9. Scripture Guide and automated content

The Scripture Guide, included on eligible plans with 150 messages per month, is an automated companion whose responses are generated by artificial intelligence. It is not a pastor, counselor or therapist; no human reviews its replies before you see them. It can be wrong, including about Scripture; read it with discernment and check anything important against the Bible and trusted people. It is not counseling. If you are in crisis in the United States, call or text 988 (Suicide and Crisis Lifeline).

10. No professional advice

All content in Human Hope Daily is spiritual and educational. It is not a substitute for professional counseling, medical or mental-health care, and using the app creates no pastoral, counseling or clinical relationship with us.

11. Intellectual property

The app, its design, software, name and logo, and all content we create are owned by Human Hope Foundation or used under license. Bible texts and worship recordings belong to their respective rights holders, whose notices appear alongside the material. Nothing in these Terms transfers these rights to you.

12. Availability and changes to features

We may add, change or remove features, reading plans, audio or the Scripture Guide, and may suspend the service for maintenance. If a change materially reduces what your plan includes during your access period, we offer a reasonable remedy. Lifetime plans last as long as we operate Human Hope Daily; if we ever discontinue it, lifetime holders receive at least 90 days' notice and 30 further days to export their journal.

13. Termination for abuse

We may suspend or end your access without refund if you materially breach these Terms, for example by sharing access links or attacking the service. Where practical we warn you first. Refunds are governed by the Refund Policy.

14. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Human Hope Daily is provided "as is" and "as available", and we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages or loss of data arising from the app. Our total liability for any claim relating to a plan is limited to the amount you paid for it. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, including your consumer rights.

15. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify Human Hope Foundation and its directors, officers, volunteers and contractors against claims and reasonable costs arising from your breach of these Terms or misuse of the app.

16. Governing law and venue

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Mexico, United States. Any dispute not resolved informally shall be brought in the state or federal courts in Bernalillo County, New Mexico, and you consent to their jurisdiction. Please contact us first.

17. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms; the date at the top shows the latest version. Material changes are announced in the app or by email before they take effect; continuing to use the app afterwards means you accept them. Changes never affect a plan you already bought.
