Where the money from a plan goes
A plan is a purchase, not a donation. The path a payment takes, what “proceeds” means, and what you can check before you pay.

When you buy a Human Hope Daily plan, you buy access to the app from Human Hope Foundation, a New Mexico nonprofit corporation. This article sets out what happens to the money, what can and cannot be said about it today, and what you can verify for yourself before you pay.
The path of a payment
Every plan has one price, in US dollars, paid once. From there the money moves in four steps.
- Payment. You pay the plan price at checkout.
- Processor fee. The payment processor, Stripe, charges a fee for handling the payment.
- Running costs. Keeping the app available costs money: hosting, sending email and answering support requests.
- Proceeds. What remains is meant for the foundation’s community programs in three areas: education, practical care and social wellbeing.
What “proceeds” means
In these articles, proceeds means the money that remains from plan sales after the cost of running the platform has been paid. Those costs are payment processing, hosting, email and support. Proceeds does not mean the full price you pay.
This article gives no percentage, and that is deliberate. Human Hope Foundation is a new organization. There is no figure here for how much of a plan’s price reaches the three areas, how much has been spent, or how many people have been served, and no description of a specific program. A number of that kind should always come with a source you can check.
What can be stated is the foundation’s purpose. Its purpose statement reads: “The organization operates on a nonprofit basis to provide charitable, educational, and community support services to individuals and families in need.” Education, practical care and social wellbeing are the three areas the proceeds are meant for under that purpose.
Why a plan is a purchase and not a donation
A donation is a gift: you give and receive nothing in return. A plan is different. You pay a price and you receive access to Human Hope Daily for the period the plan covers. The whole price is the price of the plan.
That has two practical consequences. A purchase comes with the terms of a purchase, and the Refund Policy on this site explains when and how a plan is refunded. And a purchase should be judged as one. Buy a plan if you want to use the app. Where the proceeds go is information about the seller. It is not a reason to buy something you will not use.
Why it is not tax-deductible
Human Hope Foundation is a nonprofit corporation under New Mexico law. That is a legal form granted by the state. Federal tax-exempt status is a separate matter, decided by the Internal Revenue Service, and the IRS has not yet recognized the foundation as tax-exempt. Purchases of plans are not tax-deductible.
The foundation has an Employer Identification Number, 42-5098932. An EIN identifies an organization to the IRS. It does not show that the organization is tax-exempt.
What you can check today
You do not have to take this article’s word for the basic facts. Each of these can be checked now.
- The state record. Human Hope Foundation was incorporated in New Mexico on September 15, 2026, as a domestic nonprofit corporation. Its New Mexico Secretary of State Business ID is 3302198. The Secretary of State’s Business Services office has an online portal, linked in the sources below. The Business ID is the number to look the record up by.
- The address. The foundation’s address is 1501 Hermosa Dr NE, Albuquerque, NM 87110. Compare what the state record shows with what this site says.
- The tax status. The IRS has a public tool, Tax Exempt Organization Search, which can be searched by name or by EIN. The IRS has not recognized the foundation as tax-exempt, so a search there should not show it as a recognized organization. If it does not, that matches what this page says.
- The Legal Notice. It names the operator of this site, its legal form, the Business ID, the EIN and the tax status.
- The Refund Policy. It sets out the terms on which a purchase is refunded.
What you cannot check today is a record of results. The foundation is new. This article states its purpose and where the proceeds are meant to go, and it claims nothing beyond that.
